NanoMAX takes more and more shape!

Infrastructures

The satellite building is now completed and the two optics hutches (in orange in the photo) have been delivered early February. The installation of other infrastructure (air conditioning, water pipes, etc…) is progressing and will be completed by mid-March.

Immediately after, the “process installation” will start, that includes the installation of electronics racks, cables and controllers. NanoMAX will then be ready to receive the complete beamline optics.

Beamline optics

The production and the assembly of the components for the beamline optics (at the factory) is advancing extremely well and perfectly on time. The two focusing mirrors for the beamline have been delivered in time! This is an important milestone. The final delivery of the whole beamline equipment to NanoMAX is foreseen early May.

Experimental stations

The detailed design and the definition of the technical specifications for the two experimental stations of NanoMAX is ongoing and will be reviewed in April. If you want to more information, please contact the NanoMAX team.

We are also seeking for appropriated names for the two experimental stations, and suggestions are mostly welcome!

More news…

The NanoMAX team rejoices at the recent achievement of the MAX IV Linac team: the 3GeV milestone has been just reached!

Sincerely

Dina, Ulf, Anders and Ulrich
