A Card is not always a Card

The Swedish Hockey Leuage, SHL, team Modo creates history for the coming season. As the first SHL club ever they will replace the Season Pass against a Modo shirt with an embedded RFID chip.

 The solution is developed by Transticket AB and Areff has supplied the RFID part of the solution to Transticket AB.


FUN RFID – Off the Cuff Info

Four Levent, a Swedish men's clothing startup, has begun marketing what it calls wearable technology, consisting of a shirt with a Near Field Communication (NFC) RFID tag embedded in each cuff.

The tags are intended to transmit data—such as information about the shirt itself, or the wearer's contact information, company URL or full business card—to an NFC-enabled mobile phone.
