With over 2 million player analyses per week Playscan had an eventfull spring

Before we head off on our summer holidays here in Sweden – the Playscan Team would like to summarize the key events of spring 2013.

First of all, we would like to welcome our new Strategic Key Account Manager Caroline Noord – who joined the team in the beginning of June. Caroline comes with experience within customer care and providing solutions to management teams. Caroline says that she is “happy to join the Playscan Team – a team and company that has the right product at the right time in the gambling industry. Im glad to be a part of building realtionships that makes consumer protection a success today and in the future.”

Welcome on-board Caroline!

2013 started off with Andreas Holmström taking the position as the new CEO of Playscan. Andreas travelled a lot during the spring and presented various keynotes with the title “Can a machine change human behaviour?” at the, among others, International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking in Las Vegas. Andreas stated that an informed operators choice is often more powerful than an informed player choice – a message that we will continue to highlight and spread throughout the gaming community!

In January Dr Richard Wood commenced an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of Playscan. The evaluation is still on-going and we are looking forward to presenting those findings this autumn.

In April we started the integration-process at Norwegian State owned Lottery Norsk Tipping with a kick-off in Hamar, Norway. The team is now actively working and will soon offer Playscan to their players.

This spring Playscan AB became an associate member of both the World Lottery Association and European Lotteries – which enables us to share our knowledge within behavioural tracking and responsible gambling. We also released the news in March that Playscan is now commerically available for the offshore gambling sector.

In April we launched Playscan 3.7 – which included Playscan Retail and a new analysis engine. Our CTO Henrik Hallberg said that with these new features - behavioural tracking took new progressive steps towards harm minimization.

After this very positive start on 2013 we are off on summer holidays - but before, our CEO Andreas Holmström will present Playscan at the NCPG 27th Conference on Problem Gambling, July 19-20, Seattle, Washington.

Glad sommar - Passe un bon été  - Angenehmen Sommer - Hyggelig sommer - Happy Summer time - Mukavaa aurinkoista kesää!

See you in August!
