Restaurants
Just opened and already very busy: Restaurant “El Bandarra” in Palma with a cool design and high quality food. The 3 young owners offer tapas, like steak tartar Oriental way with pistachio bread, sun flower seed and a polenta chip or a bacalao toast with camaiot or a brioche of Iberian pork and a coco wasabi foam or a taco with pork, spicy sauce, yoghurt sauce, guacamole and lemon foam, or an ensadadilla with anchovies mayonnaise, capers and dehydrated olive bread crumbs. Try the ham croquettes, the ceviche of eagle fish (corvine) with mandarin-passion fruit-sauce, sweet potatoes, guacamole, mango and a crunchy potato chip or the bread of cristal toast with slices of entrecote, slightly smoked aioli and potato aioli. Have a relaxed breakfast in the quarter Santa Catalina in Palma at “Robin Wood Factory” and let your eyes walk through the decoration, partly for sale. You will not find here gourmet food or stylish decoration but an alternative atmosphere, having a coffee, wine or wermouth or have breakfast. Llonguets (bread rolls) with Sobrassada and honey or camaiot with cheese and toasts with hummus, avocado or cheese and home made cakes. Friday and Saturday evening they offer as well nachos, a llonguet with “pulled pork”, cheese, aragula and tomatoes or Provolone cheese with mushrooms or pa-am-oli variations.
