"In and Out" is the new strategy of the Museum Es Baluard. Since the museum has been redecorated, there were added 103 new works, partly of international artists and of the most famous alive Spanish artist, Miquel Barcelo from Felanitx/Mallorca. The new director of the museum wants to loosen the differences between past and presence and brings works from the 19th century next to todays art. The 3 themes of the exhibition are sexes (from bodies and performance scenes to trans sexuality), landscapes (natural and urbane, interior and outside rooms) and new expression forms in art like installations, performances, sound and video art.
