You sit wonderful on the harbor balcony in the restaurant Soma in the Aparthotel Drach in Porto Cristo enjoying a glass soma (red wine) of the Bodega Ribas, made 100% from Viognier grapes giving the wine a whiff of exotic. Accompany the wine with cod in light, green spinach cream with peas, pine nuts, raisons and small bits of red cabbage mash. The Soma is optical and culinary modern. The chef from Galicia buys the seafood only from his country Galicia; the meat comes from areas known for high quality. Favorite of the guests is a part of the pork, marinated in a mix of bourbon vanilla and Sherry, fried on a hot stone. Accompanied by potato and sweet potato mash and a basket filled with veg and pimientos de padron. Very tasty is the octopus salad with egg plant on a crunchy taco, the squid from Galicia with potato, the wild sea bass in salt coat or the ox filet with foie and port wine sauce. As a dessert they serve choco coulant with pistachio ice cream and sparkling peta zeta. La Taperia in Palmas Lonja quarter offers approx. 40 different tapas, as well vegetarian tapas. Sushi goes Soller, opposite the market hall, directly on the tracks of the historical tram. "Aires de Japon" is the little restaurant of 2 Mallorquan gentelmen.
