The new address in Genova is the restaurant "Lume & Co", the former "Sa Berga", a beautiful finca outside Genova with a history of nearly 700 years. 4 families (2 Swedish, 1 Swedish-Mallorquanh, 1 Galician-Danish) opened a restaurant where they want to carry out what they missed in other restuarants, including best service, family friendly, children dishes (with bio chicken, bio beef, wild fish and vegetables) and a big parking. Summer 2017 in London was the World Steak Challenge where the Company Vacum was awarded with the gold medel for their meat from the Asturian cattle race Casina. Close to the sky in the restaurant "Katagi Blau" in the Hotel Llaut Palace, Palma. Completely glassed in the 7th and highest floor of the 5-star-hotel, offering a fantastic view over Playa de Palma and the sea. Sta. Catalina even has a Thai Restaurant. The "Isaan Thai" offers authentic dishes from Thailand, partly spicy like in the origin country, partly softened for the European tongues. Try the delicious duck breast, tender the meat, crunchy the skin, surrounded by red curry with pineapple, chilli, lychee, coco. In Llucmajor is "Espart Sport" , selling carpet beater, sport bags, shoe creams and socks, reed baskets, fishing bags, espardenyes (linnen shoes with hemp sole). 90% of all products come from Spain and even Mallorca. C. Born, 17.
Loseta with "Forn de Baix" bakes the delicious sweet cream-meringue-pastry called bocata di cardenale. Here these temptations were invented. A popular dessert of the Mallorquins and best fresh filled. Pass by this 150 year old bakery in C. De l'Eglesia 8.
In Campos you have "Forn Ca'n Nadal", baking bread in a wooden oven, bread rolls and pastries according to old family recipes and without any artificial addings. All is homemade. C. Estrelles 22.
In Costitx you find "Botiga Ca'n Roca", a small grocery where the time seems to stand still. While you buy fresh eggs you can discuss with the owner how to conserve fruits and vegetables. Placa del Jardin, 5.
Binissalem with its wine shop "Vins Ca'n Novell" sells their wine in environment friendly returnable bottles. Behind the garage door are 7 huge wooden barrels, labeled with white chalk. These 200 year old "botes congrenyades" from stone oak and olive wood only excist in Mallorca. Red, white, rosé and sherry wine from the barrel is offered and olive oil from a farmer in Biniagual. C. Soller has the 100 year old shop "Ca's Sarrier" selling traditional mallorquan handicraft products, like baskets, hats and brooms and the popular summer shoes of Esparto grass, sulphurized in the oven, to get the typical white color. Carrer De Sa Lluna.
"Tot Pell" in Felanitx sells hats and animal skin-carpets, no products from China. The animal furs come from France, the classical men's hats from felt are produced in Alicante. C. 31 de Marc, 13.
"Ca'n Garanya 40" in Manacor is a beautiful shop selling household articles, carpets, toys, many useful things needed on a finca, like baskets to collect the eggs from the hen's run or wooden storage cupboards closed with rabbit wire, handmade by a carpenter in the village and vintage furniture from Europe and Asia. "Ca'n Bou" in Alaro is a hard ware store (ferreteria) that sells anything you might need: cleaning material, pans, bulbs, brushes, paints, screws, as well coffee (if wished freshly grained), herbs, dried peas, almonds, liquorice, noodles, dried fruits and pets food. C. D'Alexandre Rossello 9.
"Ca'n Perillo" in S'Alqueria Blanca is a gift shop with interior decorative articles, showing complete table decoration or stylish pieces for your home. You can find furniture like cupboards and mirros of drift wood with partly still the old rusty nails. In summer the little, pretty decorated garden in the back invites for a rest. The coffee roastery "Cafés Llofriu" in Palma is the only and last coffee roastery on the island. Opposite the Mercat de l'Olivar they sell 30 different kinds of coffee with competent advice.
