How to start your own vineyard or olive oil production in Mallorca, Jaime Fullana from finca Es Verger will be explaining how to have success doing this. In the "Speakers Corner” at the “Buying Properties Abroad” show, Älvsjö Mässan, at 11:30 on Saturday 17th and 10:30 on Sunday 18th February. Jaime produces his own wine and olive oil and is also helping clients to buy lands or farms and converting these into successful business or just producing your own wine or olive oil.  Jaime offers his services, from planting the wine stock or olive trees to producing the ready product in a bottle, the production can be small for your own use or big production to be sold is shops. For smaller productions Jaime uses his own equipment from his vineyard. If you would like to talk more to Jaime, he will be at the Mallorcahouses stand; 108, during the exhibition in Stockholm. Palma Arena opens the hotel-, restaurant- and catering fair Horeca. If you are interested in good food, want to watch star chefs cooking, want to know which stove and which pots to use and which hoods are the best. You can watch bar keepers mixing drinks and coffee experts. It is an exhibition for restaurant and hotel owners but non professionals are also able to visit. No children because of many stands offering alcohol. Hobby cooks and gastro fans are welcome. Entrance 10 Euro.   • Classical music with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra: on the 9th with the Choir of the Balearic Islands and works of J.S.Bach. On the 15th works of Haydn, Martinsson, Ravel. On the 22nd works of Parera, Betthoven, Brahms and Schoenbeg. 

The centre of Palma will be dressed in colours to celebrate carnival, on Sunday 11th, first the celebration of sa Rueta, a party of the little ones, starting at 10:30, after the traditional and more spectacular parade of sa Rua, in which floats and troupes will animate the afternoon hours from 5:00. Sa Rua 2018 will once again go through the streets of Palma and at the end prizes will be awarded to the best disguised group and floats at the Plaça Rei Joan Carles I. This year's itinerary will be from Rambla, Carrer de la Riera, carrer Unió, Plaça de Joan Carles I and Avinguda Jaume III. These traditional festivities, in Mallorca, begin with the dijous gras and continue throughout the weekend with concerts, dances and parades of disguised groups and end with the traditional burial of the sardine.

The Galery Kewenig shows works of the artists Christian Boltanski (French), Bertrand Lavier (French) and Markul (Polish-French). 73 year old Boltanski is one of the most important alive artists of his generation. 68 year old Lavier and 40 year old Markul accompany Boltanski and show their own creations. Galatzó Trail 2018 (Mallorca mountain marathon) an amazing trail running competition which will take place the next 18th March at the Finca Es Galatzó (municipality of Calvià). The start and finish line will be located at the square of Sa Vinya in Es Capdellà. The event includes two distances; Galatzó legend (about 43 km): Starts at 09:00. It’s a demanding trail where participants face a 45 km course. In this spectacular tour the participants will have to crown two of the most emblematic mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana: s'Esclop (927 meters) and the legendary mountain of Es Galatzó (1027 meters). Galatzó half: (about 22 km). Starts at 10:00. It’s a trail designed for the enjoyment of mountain lovers who practice half-distances. It's also ideal for those trail-running rookies looking for their first experience in a long distance. The course runs 100% on mountain trails, some of them connecting to the Finca Es Galatzó. Participants can be from 18 years onwards, early subscriptions will receive a discount, volunteers are also invited to participate. The classical "Ca'n Joan de S'Aigo" is an old, cosy café, with marble tables and lamps from Gordiola (Mallorca) and waiters who work here since many many years. It is the great and traditional products that attract guests into the 2 cafés; the mini ensaimadas are known as the best of the island. Per month they bake and sell 1300 to 1600 pieces.
